What exactly is WhyMyAI.net, you might be curious to know? This website was specifically designed to enable anyone with enough patience and ability to roll with the punches to successfully set up one of three different AI projects that allow them to run their own artificial intelligence locally on their machines—or even some combination of them.
I decided to create this website after realizing that there wasn’t a clear, easy-to-follow, and comprehensive guide available anywhere for setting up local AI projects. Most of the resources out there are either scattered all over the internet, incomplete, or assume you already have advanced knowledge in programming languages like JavaScript or Java. This guide, however, provides a full, detailed, step-by-step walkthrough that covers everything from the very basics all the way through to more advanced topics—and even to Alpha Centauri.
With the assistance of an AI program available online, I gathered all the necessary resources and carefully assembled this guide aimed at everyday users who want to dive into AI without feeling overwhelmed. It is a growing resource that will require frequent updates as technology evolves, and I will do my absolute best to keep it up to date. But please keep in mind that I am only human, so errors and oversights are always possible.
Regarding mistakes, it’s important to remember that AI systems themselves are not perfect either. Despite their incredible capabilities and advancements, AI was ultimately created by humans and is still prone to making errors and misjudgments from time to time.
So, as you follow this guide to build and run your own AI right at home, understand that it was created by a single individual working independently on their own computer—with a lot of help from AI. I do not possess any formal coding education or deep expertise in complex programming languages like C++, Java, HTML, or others.
